Birmingham

“The origin city. Bricks, grit, and bloom.”

Birmingham isn’t just home

it’s a living archive of contrasts. Industrial softness, brutal beauty, ghost signs, and soft golden hour light bouncing off canal water. This city taught me how to shoot what others overlook.

“This is where I learned to see. Grit, beauty, and memory — all on the same street.”

“Birmingham is my starting point — creatively, emotionally, and literally. It’s the city where I became babwithacamera, where I went to uni, started projects, and met the people who shaped my work and my life. Most of the art shows, gigs, zines, and stories begin here, or loop back to here. There’s history on every street, but it never stops shifting — shops vanish, pubs become flats, and whole corners get rewritten. It’s a place that teaches you to notice fast, because what’s here today might be gone by next week. But even with all the change, it’s still my place. It holds too many memories not to matter.”
